Can we talk about Vampires? I'm gonna talk about Vampires.

Vampires. Yes, the best horror/romance combination that was made for some reason? Being bitten and having to spend your eternal life with someone you don't know just because they changed you?
Sounds romantic.
Interview with a Vampire is the first of MANY to start this vampire romance sub-genre (surprisingly had a homosexual undertone as well as rising a child together, pretty progressive if you ask me). Vampires are unarguably the sexiest horror villain to drape the genre. With Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Bitten, Vampire Academy, and so many more, vampires are seen as pretty hot. The mystery and finding a 'mate' to turn and spend the rest of eternity with does sound cool and all, but I think people have forgotten the horrifying beginnings of vampires. Nosferatu. That man is terrifying, I do not trust him at all. But how did we get from him? to Edward Cullen? Easy. Add two lovers, create an internal struggle between them and add the spice that is one being an eternal being and one a mortal and BOOM teen romance made!

We all know the legendary series that is Twilight and it's made a comeback in mid-2019, but not for the main romance in the book that had all pre-teen girls drooling. The world Stephnie Meyer made is way more important to the Twilight Fandom than Edward and Bella could ever be! The addition of supernatural powers and having a 'soul mate' is more appealing than two teens with lack-luster personality. Just like any other popular main show or movie series the main character(s) are always the most boring and the supporting cast is WAY more interesting. Alice Cullen can predict possible futures and Emmet is superman strong! The uniqueness between all the vampires creates a much more interesting and powerful world. (I'm a mega twilight fan, my girlfriend is too so we often talk about what makes the series so special)
